Sorry I'm late!

The entire country is back in the swing of things…school has officially started in all the provinces and University’s are gearing up for their first semester too.

I think its safe to say that 2012 is well on its way…

We know that many vow to be more punctual at the start of a new year. You know, as part of your new years resolution…

We came across this interesting article on www.lifeslittlemysteries.com giving us employees’ most outrageous ‘late’ excuses. Check them out…

Employee’s cat had the hiccups.

  • Employee got distracted watching the “Today” show.
  • Employee thought she had won the lottery (she hadn’t).
  • Employee’s angry roommate cut the cord to his phone charger, so it didn’t charge and his alarm didn’t go off.
  • Employee believed his commute time should count toward his work hours.
  • Employee claimed a fox stole her car keys.
  • Employee’s leg was trapped between a subway car and the platform (turned out to be true).
  • Employee said he wasn’t late because he had no intention of getting to work before 9 a.m. (his start time was 8 a.m.)
  • Employee was late because of a job interview with another firm.
  • Employee had to take a personal call from the state governor (turned out to be true).

Pretty creative huh?!

By no means are we encouraging tardiness! Make sure you’re always on time for class or any other appointment you may have. It seen as a sign of disrespect coming in late and you wouldn’t want to miss anything important. To make sure you’re not late for class, make sure you dont take any detours or get stuck talking to your friends between changing classes. Towards the end of your break, start making your way to your next class to ensure you get there in time.
