Johannes Jonker (Computer whizz)

Creative with heaps of initiative, Johannes Jonker is a computer whiz kid. As early as 2005 he coordinated a Linux information day at Laerskool Eikestad and even organized all the speakers. Because of all this hard work he was able to meet Mark Shuttleworth which was a great honour, according to him.

While still in Grade 7 he designed a website for the school’s computer centre which is still in use and in April 2007, he was the winner of an HP laptop computer in the Leafmap EduMotion Incentive Competition. Phew! We’d better stop to catch our breath…

Johannes is the Computer Ambassador and we’re definitely glad to have him on board. I may have to ask him for some tutoring to improve my computer skills!
