Being Hipsters we know how cool it is to be square. So, it comes as no surprise that clever Japanese scientists have managed to cultivate square watermelons instead of round ones!
How did they manage this? By growing the fruits in square glass boxes… After a certain period of time the fruit just naturally started assuming the same shape and today the cuboid watermelons are handpicked and shipped all over Japan.
Looks like being square is the new cool…
