I would love to be able to read other people’s minds! Like to be able to know exactly what they are thinking about. It would be so cool! So like if someone is thinking bad stuff about me or my friends, I could just tell them something relating to their thoughts and freak them out a bit! Okay so I wouldn’t only use my powers for bad!!! For instance, I would be able to be more understanding to someone who is upset, because I could read their thoughts and find out why they’re being this way without making them feel uncomfortable by just asking them. And if someone is thinking suicidal thoughts, I could inform people who care about them so that they can make sure that the person doesn’t get any opportunities to carry out their thoughts. And if I ‘overhear’ someone thinking about a crime they want to commit, I could inform police and get the person to be put under surveillance in order to prevent the crime.

The best part would be if my best friend (Anashya) could read minds as well. We could like ‘send’ thoughts to each other and be able to have entire conversations without anyone knowing! We would be able to dazzle our friends and tell them what they’re thinking and we wouldn’t need to bother with cellphones anymore!

Then there’d be the perk of knowing what guys are thinking! You know how girls are always complaining about not understanding guys and mixed signals and stuff – well, Anashya and I could help our friends out by reading guys minds and guiding our friends in the right direction. Look at it this way: at least there won’t be that many heartbroken girls out there as a result of a misunderstanding and we could nip cases of unrequited love in the bud before our friends fall head over heels only to have their hearts broken. Anashya and I could be like every girl’s best friend, a new type of Secret Agents: saving the world one heart at a time! I mean at the end of the day, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do – even if it means breaking a guy’s heart to save a girl’s! 

Mind-reading would be totally amazing. To be quite honest, I got the idea from a series of books by H.B.Gilmour and Randi Reisfield, called T’witches. The lead characters are twin witches (hence “t’witches”) and they can communicate via thoughts. The difference though, is its not exactly mind-reading: Cam can only tune in to Alex’s thought’s but Alex can read anyone’s because of her gift of extra-sensory hearing. So she literally hears other people’s thoughts.

Yeah so second best to being able to do magic (and attends Hogwarts) I would wish for mind-reading capabiities!!! Aaaaah! If only it could come true…then I would know what my teacher’s thinking of setting in next weeks IT Test…LOL :-)
