You would think the first ever LA Space Style 2007 Fashion show would at least feature pink space suits, but no – bikini and zero g wedding dress-clad models took to the runway. The space-inspired dresses, jumpsuits, and bikinis were designed to promote space tourism, which has become a very real possibility in recent years.

Rocketplane and Interorbital Systems are two companies working to make space travel for the common man and women a reality and designers jumped at the chance to exhibit.

The prize was a contract to work with space companies to design a more fashionable space suit and make it, well, as pretty as they can.

So keep your eyes peeled – Space Vogue will probably be available on newsstands in the very near future!
