Hello there all!

We just had our talent showcase at school and the talent was plentiful the whole evening! Megan did a wickedly funny skit with her brother – what a skillful family! I have been surrounded by talented people lately (the other BAs, sports stars and academic boffins at school) and it made me think about how grateful we should be for the many opportunities handed to us on a silver platter. Now I know that the only way to do well is with a bit of talent, but at the end of the day it is how much effort and time you put into it. My mom likes to tell me that talent can get you only so far in life – it’s the perspiration that really counts!

Speaking of perspiration: I have won all of my squash and tennis league matches at school (Yahoo!) Now I just have to keep it up…er, well try my best anyway!

I am going away to Clarens this weekend, on Tuesday I go to Durbs and then next weekend I go to Pilansberg (I have officially been bitten by the travel bug!)
