Most of you probably know her story, but because it’s such a good one and we love Harry so much – let’s go over it one more time…

Growing up, she used to love writing. The idea for Harry came when she was 25 year’s old and travelling on a train back to London without a workable pen at hand! Lucky for us, her memory kept hold of our bespectacled hero and she started writing ‘The Philosopher’s Stone’ that very evening.
That was in 1990. It took her six years to finish the book which she did for the most part while living in Edinburgh. She used to write while sitting at her favourite window seat in a restaurant called Nicolson’s.

She sent the manuscript to two agents and one publisher. One of these agents that she picked at random based on the fact that she liked his name, Christopher Little, was immediately captivated by the manuscript and signed her on as his client within three days.

The rest is history… We all know she broke every box office and sale’s record that ever existed. Rowling is also Britain's 13th wealthiest woman - wealthier than even the Queen!

Please bring back Harry, though…
