You know how most good stories start with "Once upon a time"? Well, this story starts with "Once upon a very hot day"...
Once upon a very hot day, my friends and I were relaxing around my pool at home when we decided to make a video (using a cellphone).  The video was about us pretending to be super-models and Hollywood stars walking down the “red carpet”. When it came to my turn “down the red carpet”, I tripped myself and did a somersault into the pool with a huge SPLASH!!!, but the worst part about it was I took our garden chairs into the pool with me and it was all caught on video… I NEARLY DIED!

So my random tip for life is: To be careful what you let your friends make a video of.

Ok so that’s Jess’s “Oh my gosh!  That’s so embarrassing!!!”  but being her mother I have a more interesting one –  to put you in the picture -  we (Jess, her dad and myself) were sitting on the deck at Seagulls Hotel waiting for lunch to arrive on Saturday.  For those of you who don’t know Jess, her fingers are forever fidgeting.  Her dad had a beer (bottle) andJess being Jess couldn’t resist pulling off the label, which she did without tearing it. She then put the label on a glass (fidgeting fingers!).  Both her dad and I were watching her while we were chatting.  He looked at me and said “So the saying is true?”, which of course stirred curiosity in Jess.  Me being the loving mother I am, politely explained to Jess what her dad was on about.  Well the look on her face - Oh my gosh! This is so embarrassing … said it all.  By this time her dad and I were both laughing until the tears ran.

For those who don’t know the saying: Only a virgin can pull off the label without tearing it!

So my random tip for life is: Don’t let your mom send in the update for your blog.

Cheers
