This is the first year that I’ve ever felt the need to make New Year’s resolutions... And it’s not because it’s the theme for this week’s blog! I need to. I suppose it comes with growing older and realising there is still so many things you haven’t sorted out yet. So here goes:
- Jog 5 times a week (This is a tall order for me – I hate jogging! Always have. In high school I was more into sprinting and never had the perseverance to tackle the 1500m race)
- Read more (I love it and don’t set aside enough time to indulge anymore)
- Do art with the purpose of exhibiting (For the last 7 years I haven’t produced a single thing – I’ve written down a gazillion ideas but nothing has moved into existence)
- Start saving money (Since coming back from the UK I’ve been overspending every single month. Tssk, tssk, tssk.)
- Travel once a year (This goes hand in hand with saving money…)
- Make an effort to connect with old friends (If you’re in a relationship you skimp on your friends. This makes you a boring, one-dimensional person. In order to explore the whole ‘you’ it’s important to bounce yourself against different people and get different opinions)
- Cook a new dish every week
- Start yoga (Long, lean muscles here I come)
- Remember people’s birthdays (Luckily, Facebook seems to be helping me out on this one)
- Create a fashion scrapbook where I file everything that inspires me concerning clothes/accessories – this helps to combat the urge to wear the same thing every other day.
Quite a lot, hey?! Well, one can only try…
Wish me luck :-)
