Hi, I’m Senaly Singh and I’m pretty sure I’m currently dreaming. I mean, the last 3 days have been unreal – there’s a camera following us, people specially preparing our meals, interviews and TV and here I am: writing my first blog!

So anyway, I’m from Durbs – the place where the sun and the fun never ever set. We flew down to Cape Town on Friday morning and went straight to the Shuttleworth Foundation with Kate (who is the sweetest and most fun ever!). The Shuttleworth Foundation is like soooo gorgeous. There’s a pool, a garden with lots of flowers and a pond with Koi in it.

Wow, AND we spoke to Mark Shuttleworth! He’s really friendly and humble. It was via satellite because he’s in London, but still – thrilling!

On Friday and Saturday we stayed at the Sugarbird campsite at Helderberg Nature Reserve. On Saturday night we went on a night hike and though I’m not much of a nature lover or hiker, I’ll admit it was pretty cool. Kate found a firefly and we also saw a porcupine - it was soooo cute!

Today we’re having a photo shoot and later on is my TV debut! I’m kind of nervous but everyone’s really nice. Simone, Tegan, Sam and I are just sitting around chatting and trying to write our blogs. We're all kind of exhausted.

I’m really looking forward to all our exciting events, podcasts and I really enjoyed meeting all these cool people. Among the BAs there are so many different kinds of people: Johannes is so friendly, Tegan’s crazy, Haley’s funny and Sam’s sweet and fun.

Oh, we went to Robben Island yesterday – it was my first time, so it was pretty cool. The boat ride was awesome and we saw Madiba’s prison cell.  It was fun. I wish I could have had my brother and sister, Nevaan and Kimisha, with though – they would have loved it!

Anyway, need to go get all “made-up” and “shot” so…catch more of my crazy thought next week! Luv ya…mwah!
