My most treasured possession would definitely be my teddy bear, very imaginatively named “Teddy”. Yes, I know, but come on; I was only one when I got it! It came in its perfect box, pink, and with a little pink nightcap and nightie. It even had a mechanical heart that would beat when you hugged it. It was love at first sight…

Since then, Teddy has been dragged everywhere with me. She’s been on every holiday, each sleepover, and has been left behind at these things innumerable times. My poor father has been sent out dozens of times, to go fetch my darling Teddy, who had been left at a faraway friend’s house. This had to happen because I refused to sleep without her, and would spend the time until Dad got back crying my eyes out on the couch.

Today, this is still the case, though minus the tears. Teddy has become less pink, her eyes are scratched, and her heart no longer beats, due to being put through the washing machine an unfair number of times. She has swapped clothes frequently, and has been chewed on by the dogs. However, I still love her as much as I did when I was one (probably even more), and she is still definitely my most treasured possession.
