Hi guys
The most valuable possession of mine is a book I got from my mother at the beginning of the year. It is sort of an heirloom, as my great-grandmother gave it to my grandmother in 1936! It was a going-away gift, and is a small pocket book with a velvet red cover and is full of religious sayings by E. Meyer. It is so important to me because it is a special pat of my family history and it has a special place in my heart because I am Christian.
The soft pages in the book are beautifully printed and are starting to yellow with age, and there is a wonderful note written on the front page to my gran. The date on the cover, 1936, shows how something that old never looses its value and will grow in sentimental worth as the years go by. In my opinion, it holds more value than any iPod, phone or Apple Mac will ever have in my life because it is one-of-a-kind and irreplaceable. Everyone needs a little something special like this in his or her life.
Cheers!
Ash
