I’m not a morning person at all... I mean I seriously have to talk myself into going to gym at 06:30 and in winter this conversation gets longer and longer!
But, you know what, I do favour mornings. Because I could on the odd morning get up at a reasonable hour like 07:00. Put on some relaxing music (a Mozart piano concerto) have a bath, get ready ... all at my own pace, keeping an eye on the time, no mad, head-spinning rush ... just calm, collected and without panic. Then a good breakfast at the kitchen table ... a healthy bowl of oats served with toast or muesli and fruit ... all eaten at a gentle pace, not the hectic one at work where you throw it down your throat minutes before your first meeting ...
But then I realise that I do love afternoons too, especially summer ones when it is still light at 20:00 ... where you can go for long afternoon walks, sundowners on the beach, sun on your body ... oh, I miss summer!
So maybe I react differently to different times of the year, but that’s OK ... I then have a favourite part of the day throughout the year! No boring stuff, just what I like, when I like it!
