My Christmas wish list? Hmmmmm…our family have stopped giving each other presents a long time ago. My dad is one of those “Christmas is a big moneymaking scheme” people. Because I’m the baby of the family, I still got a present here and there but that has all stopped since my brothers and sisters have started having children of their own. So, I’m counting on friends, my boyfriend and a sneaky one from my mom (she can never resist).

So what do I want? From my mom I would like a carload full of clothes from Topshop (my parents are living and working in Scotland, so she has access to all these wonderful shops).

From my friends I would like books. I love receiving someone’s favourite book. It always nudges you down another avenue of exploration. If I got a voucher for a book I would probably end up buying The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold or To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (I have never owned my own copy).

I’m not into cd’s at all…I love vinyl’s. We bought an old record player in Edinburgh when we stayed there and the sound is just so much better than a normal cd! Warm and cosy with those wonderful crackling sounds you can only get from a record. You also learn to listen to a whole album from beginning to end, like you’re supposed to. Your favourite band decided where each song should go for a reason – try listening to a cd from beginning to end. I promise you, you’ll like it. It makes sense.

So, I would like to receive a few vinyl’s as well. In particular, The White Stripes new album, Icky Thump.

From my boyfriend I don’t want anything, only his undying devotion (Not!!). He is the best present-giver I know, so I’ll leave it in his capable hands. A seafood platter at a really expensive restaurant wouldn’t hurt though…

Hope you guys get all your wishes! Toodleloo
