Hi there once again.
Having officially unloaded my bags and taken a breather, I can truly say that my
time in Durbs was fantastic! The confidence I got from the experience has made
me hold my head higher and I feel great knowing that at least some of the 16000
learners appreciated my message to them! I got to see all my other HIP friends
and even Teagan and Haley gave us a pleasant surprise when they popped round
:]
The event was quite a unique experience and I enjoyed putting the puzzles
together at the demo - expo at the stadium with Erin, Jess and Senaly (we
finally put all the puzzle pieces together!)
Our hosts were so hospitable and the highlight of the trip HAS to be Kate's
grandmother's cooking - brownies, bran muffins and that peppermint crisp
dessert! Thank you so much for the time of my life.
After that I went to the Pilansberg National Park with my family and we were
fortunate enough to see so much game on the night drive. I think that nature is
such a beautiful yet often exploited resource of our country. That's why I have
decided to travel the country when I am older and do something to save our
environment. We currently have a recycling bin at our school- do you? Why not
do your bit and get a recycling club together or use those brains of yours to
come up with cool ways to reuse your rubbish :]
Cheers
Ash
