IQ - a score derived from one of several different standardised tests attempting to measure intelligence. EQ - describes an ability, capacity, or skill to perceive, assess, and manage the emotions of one's self, of others, and of groups.
You’ve probably heard a lot more about IQ than EQ. Today, the IQs of many famous people in history are documented. Einstein had an estimated IQ of between 160 and 180 (anything above 140 is excellent), although his IQ was never really measured. Sir Isaac Newton is estimated to have had an IQ of 190.
We seldom hear about EQ, although it is actually more important than IQ. EQ is said to determine the durability of your relationships. It is also supposed to have a big influence on your success in life.
The big difference between the two:
IQ will get you through school. EQ will get you through life.
