Intelligence is so subjective, really. Is it better to have a strong IQ versus EQ, or a combination of both? Who knows?! Intelligence is naturally difficult to quantify. It is eternally elusive – difficult to pin down and define to an exact set of criteria. As are emotions. However, I do believe that to be a well-rounded and ultimately happy person, balance is required. Investment into increasing one’s knowledge and ‘intelligence’ needs to be subsidised by learning in the areas of human interaction and understanding… topped with dash of ‘worldliness’ and ‘street smarts’ and you’re on your way to being a ‘likeable, smart and cool’ individual.
There will always be someone that is smarter than you. There will always be someone that is less smart than you are. But… you decide what your limits are – if you want any – and go and create your reality. Intelligently.
