Well, for starters: definitely, in the future. While I’d like to go back to the Victorian Era and wear those beautiful dresses, or the Indian Mughal Era were Kathak dancers were highly sought-after entertainers to kings and very richly gifted, I would much rather visit a place that no one had visited before, like the future. And though seeing myself in ten to twenty years time would be a real laugh, I would prefer to go to a time where one cannot even dream of what the world would be like: a time like the year...

3000!

I would love to be able to see another millennium. Being able to see one is a rare phenomenon and before my time machine was built, seeing two would not even be possible!

Though I did mention that no one would be able to dream of what it would be like, I’m willing to venture forth and take my chances. I’ll probably be totally wrong but here’s a peak into what my year 3000 would look like!

I imagine a world where flying cars are antiques and Earth is no longer our only home. It would be a place where honeymoons on the moon are popular among the “poverty-stricken” (who would be the equivalent of Bill Gates today); trips to other planets are commonplace among the “middle-class” (people who will own property on the moon, etc) and Intergalactic Travel would be the elitist option – the 3000 equivalent to holidaying at our Space Station!

I see basic transport as being techno-equivalents of J.K. Rowling’s Floo Powder, Portkeys and Apparition.

Cellphones would be viewed in the same light that we view the first computer (the one that filled a room) in! Modern communication would comprise embedded chips that pick up brain movements and send TMSes (Thought Messaging Services) to friends and holding conversations through a mindcall.

Okay so now my mind is boggling from all these outrages ideas! That’s all I’ve got for now – but fill me in: What do you think 3000 will be like?

Ciao for now!:-)
