I’ve always wondered why the big bang took place.

When you think about it, it’s actually quite impossible to find the answer to the
question. Ever since I was young, I had an interest in the big bang. While in
school, we did touch on the subject sometimes, but never did we learn what
happened before the big bang. That is probably because knowledge is very
limited, and only consists of speculation.

Even if we find out what caused the big bang, the question of why the big bang
took place will remain. It’s kind of a rhetorical question. It’s also on this point
that religion in a certain sense bridges the ‘gap’ in our minds, or at least in
Christianity, which I find very interesting, being a Christian myself. I’m not going
to go deeper into that topic...

Maybe we could have some opinions on why the big bang took place? :-)
