In this entry, I am just going to tell you the type of products that I bought. What I mean is the brand and model of my products. The reason I am doing this is, is to give you a better idea of what to look for/buy.

First of all one thing I forget to mention in step 1 is that you will also need a mouse and keyboard :-).

All CASES are standard, and come with certain wires and all the screws for the hardware. I bought a 17 inch LG LED MONITOR.

I bought an Intel Desktop Series MOTHERBOARD, Model No: DG33FB. All motherboards contain a chip set. Mine contained a P35 chipset, and I think the latest chip set on a motherboard is P38. I have an Intel Core Duo CPU. Model No. E4500, LGA775. My RAM speed is 2GigaByte (GB) and the Brand Name is Kingston and Model No: DDR2 800. I have a SATA HARD DRIVE which is 160GB. I have a combo CD ROM/OPTICAL DRIVE, this is standard equipment and any brand should be ok. What I mean by combo is that it can burn CD’s/DVD’s and read CD’s and DVD’s. I bought a 400 watt POWER SUPPLY. Lastly I am still waiting for my UPS, but these are also standard. My MOUSE, KEYBOARD and SPEAKERS are all Logitech.

So overall I have a reasonably good computer, step 3 will be coming shortly. This entry will contain the hardware side of things. If you’re having any problems so far please let me know.
