WOW!  What a legend!  An international icon who has stood the test of time.  He’s been around since the 80’s and is still a world class entertainer.

I was lucky enough to watch Elton John perform at the ABSA Stadium in Durbs – and yes, it was raining!  It seems to be Durban’s bad luck that every time an artist visits the best city, the rain drenches their show.  However, this did not keep us Durbanites away.  Boy do we know how to PARTY! Trav and I partied the night away with his family and thousands of our closest friends!

Being musical myself, I was really fascinated to learn that Elton John wrote all his own lyrics, music and was able to perform it so powerfully, even though he had been on a drip only moments before his show!  I have really been motivated to begin my musical year on a good note, aspiring to travel with my newly acquired saxophone to new horizons :-)
