There are so many different types of foods available today.  From the quick-fix fast-food types like the burger or pizza or bits of chicken, to the labour-intensive home-cooked pie, Mac and Cheese or Lasagne, there is simply no lack of diversity.  But which it better?

Now, in a certain aspect, the fast foods are ok.  They taste and smell reasonably decent don’t they? And anyway, when was the last time you heard of anyone dying from too great a cholesterol intake?  Hmm… Actually, when I stop and think about these fast foods, they really do make me go “eeew!”  The amount of unhealthy, artificially manufactured, barley edible substances that are “cooked” in with my ready-to-go meal are quite repulsive.  The only possible attraction that they have is that they are cheap and pre-cooked. However, as for the food itself? No thanks.

On the other hand, I have Mom’s lovingly prepared lunches and dinners (sadly,  I have to do my own breakfast).  These meals look great, smell fantastic and the taste is simply brilliant.  What’s more, they are all packed with loads healthy stuff (like vitamins, and minerals) too!  I cannot possibly think of something more mouth watering than a huge home-cooked meal, made with all of the best ingredients around (including love).  This type of food really does make me go Mmmm…
