Just two more weeks – argh! But after the BA weekend, it’s almost home sailing till the Christmas holidays. Oh, I can’t wait to see my family… and of course, my boyfriend. It doesn’t matter how much you love your job, you still need a break to refresh and reenergise the batteries.

2008 is full of promise and we have a lot of ambitious projects on the boil. Ideas are flowing around the office – some being refined, rescoped and others discarded. Upon reflection, Hip2b2 has achieved a lot in a short space of time. We’ve relaunched a fabulous magazine and website… We’ve been involved in several projects like the Living Maths programme in community centres, and the Sunzone ‘fun science’ day at Stellenbosch University; we’ve organised a science fair at Settlers’ High and hosted a workshop with learners chatting to Mark Shuttleworth… Our TV show has installed a new set and a new presenter is rehearsing behind the scenes for his big debut next year. The new set of course had to go with new graphics…! Our Brand Ambassadors have been selected and we’ve been tailoring a development programme that will challenge and stimulate them to be the superstars of tomorrow. And we’ve been organising an awesome extended initiation weekend in Cape Town… Our roadshow is almost finished the rehearsal process, and ready to roll into schools in January…
