Reading through the Brand Ambassador applications is incredible. I can’t believe there are such talented people out there.

Take this one, for example. He’s going into grade 8, and already he’s an accomplished judo person, he does origami, goes on archaeological digs… and did I mention that he has won debating awards, English essay competitions etc?! The list of achievements goes on and on. Makes me feel a bit Plain Jane.

It’s really exciting - loads of learners are applying. There are sooooo many talented teens out there. Making the final choice is going to be tough, very tough. But… I’m very pleased to say that I see my old school, St. Mary’s D.S.G., has sent in a couple of really cool apps. I might go and speak there on my trip to Durban at the end of July.

Seeing the teachers again… now that gives me the heebey geebies! Argh!
