I looked into the past and found someone who willingly granted me an interview.
Q: What are you most famous for?
A: I am most famous for my theorem in maths known as Pythagoras’s Theorem.
Q: Tell me a little more about Pythags Theorem
A: It is a simple rule in geometry linking the lengths of the sides of right-angles triangles.
Q: Can you explain your ‘Brotherhood’ to me?
A: I set up this religious community in my early 40’s. It was a community that abided to my strict laws and led simple lives and spent most of their time doing maths.
Q: What was the attraction to maths?
A: I believed that mathematics held the key to all the secrets of the universe. I also believed that some numbers were magical.
Q: Do you see a correlation between maths and music?
A: Yes, I was one of the first people to link mathematics and music in my experiments regarding octaves and harmony.
Q: How influential have you been with your work?
A: I have influenced many great people including Galileo and Newton and I believe that to this day, thousands of people are still studying my work!
