I have just arrived back from the most riveting conference I have ever been to. It sounds incredibly dull to talk about a conference being cool, but this one, a digital and mobile conference was a real eye-opener.

Did you know that over 80% of all urban dwellers have access to a cellphone? And that women are taking the online gaming industry by storm, playing roughly 11 and a half hours a week?! That, I find astonishing.

Although, seeing as we are becoming a nation of facebookers and myspace is flooded with personalised pages, maybe it’s not too surprising. And there are over 3 million Mxit users!

Being somewhat of a “digital immigrant” and not belonging to the “thumb generation,” I have finally ventured into facebook territory… and may even start my own. I mean, if I can’t have a real pet, why not get a cyber dog?!
