Mzansi inventions – The Kreepy Krauly

Hydraulics engineer Ferdinand Chauvier invented the Kreepy Krauly in 1974. Ferdinand came to South Africa in 1951 from Congo, literally penniless, but with his knowledge and experience in hydraulics, he invented a machine that is used in pools worldwide today to suck leaves and dirt particles from the water using water pressure.
