More world-changing gadgets
Remember when we told you about a few products that changed the world? (If not, check it out here. And pay attention next time!)
Well, because we like you so much, we thought we’d give you a few more gadgets we believe were totally revolutionary. Here goes…
Television changed everything, from the way people got their news to how advertising was done. In the 1930s and 1940s people weren’t all too sure about this new medium, but 80 years later we have HD, 3D and flat screen – who knows what’s next.
How could we possibly leave the PC off the list? Once upon a time computers were room-sized devices (and not even small rooms, at that). Home computers were available in the 1970s but the market only really took off in 1981 with IBM’s personal computer and the Apple Macintosh.
Did you know that the first smart phone was introduced in 1993 already? Weighing in at more than a kilogram, the Simon offered a touch-screen keyboard, email and fax capabilities, and functions like a calendar and address book. We sure have come a long way. What is your favourite smart phone?
Did we miss anything? Is the greatest game-changing gadget of all time conspicuously absent from our list? Let us know!
