How many people fit in a soap bubble?

A group of 151 adults and children set a new Guinness World Record in 2011 for the most people inside of a soap bubble. The record attempt was held at the Discovery Science Centre in California.

The Centre has an annual BubbleFest, a three-week-long exhibition of hands-on bubble activities and presentations. Yes, a whole festival dedicated to bubbles!

Using a specially constructed system, Canadian bubble artist Fan Yang strategically placed 151 people on a stage. Then moving a series of pulleys, he drew the massive bubble wand up and around the crowd.

Sounds like a bit of a crazy thing to do, but hey… who are we to burst his bubble?
