Exam survival tips

It’s that time of the year where there’s a big open space on your social calendar…yip final exams are in the air.

The Matrics have started the final leg of this race with finals starting on the 17th of October.

We thought we’d asked our Hipsters to share their ultimate exam survival tips with us on our Facebook fan page.

Here are few…

“What I usually do when studying, especially subjects like Biology and Physical Science, is that I list down all the topics we did during the year and colour code them. Then when making notes on that topic, I use the same colour as with the topic. I don’t know if this can work for someone else, but for me it helps me remember things quicker and in detail, but then again, different strokes! :) ” – Sethu Mbuli

“All along I studying alone and it didn’t seem to be working. I started studying with my friend. He comes to my house, the next day I go to his house after school. It works because its funny, you’ll be making jokes, laughing and all. It pushes you to work coz you feel you have to know.” – Lloyd Chimanga Tee

“Take a long peaceful song, preferably without words and try and just listen to it with your eyes closed and think of nothing. After about five minutes, your mind will be empty if done right and after ten minutes you’ll be good to study. Eat enough fish and water is essential. Above all, no matter how many tips you get, the main thing lies with you. If you are lazy, no amount of help will allow you to learn better. Your brain is a muscle, train it everyday.” – Sheldon Blaauw
